🏆 WALL-Y nominated as Innovation of the Year
Each year the Newspaper Publishers Association organize the Newspaper of the Year awards, celebrating excellence across several categories. This year, my creation WALL-Y, is nominated in the category Innovation of the Year.
The Newspaper Publishers Association in Sweden (TU) serves as the industry body for media organizations, championing the cause of press freedom and free speech while tackling critical issues facing the media sector.
Each year, they organize the Newspaper of the Year awards, celebrating excellence across several categories including Photojournalism of the Year, Media Leader of the Year, Coverage of the Year, and Editorial Team of the Year.
Included in the awards is the Innovation of the Year category, where Warp News and its AI bot WALL-Y have been nominated alongside Expressen and Aftonbladet, the two biggest daily newspapers in Sweden.
WALL-Y was developed in 2023 by me and has since been generating news content for Warp News. Together, we have also co-authored the AI book "The Centaur's Edge."
The winner will be decided on March 20.
